John has many years of musical and corporate events experience from his early days in the Scots Guards pipe band through to his time with the legendary police pipe band in Edinburgh. He has been the televised lone piper at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and has travelled the world with his bagpipes both with pipe bands and as a solo artiste. He has performed for the Queen at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia and for Pope John Paul in The Vatican.
John is also a long standing performer at the famous Taste of Scotland Show at Prestonfield House Hotel in Edinburgh, a venue where he has been granted the title of honorary Pipe Major and where this year, he performed for Prince Charles. Additionally, John is an experienced funeral piper and brings a personal and professional service.
