The Pickled Piper is not an agency. Formed by John Rae in 2007 to provide the very best in bagpipe services to weddings and events, the business grew quickly to such an extent that his long standing piping friends David Brown and Paul Selwood came on board to help meet demand.

With the Pickled Piper you can be assured of the highest quality, both in terms of musical ability and standards of dress. Just have a look at the photographs.

John and Paul are both ex military (Scots Guards) pipers and, as you would expect, they maintain immaculate standards of dress and deportment. Both have performed the role of lone piper at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and have travelled the world with their music. On leaving the army, Paul had the distinguished position of senior Pipe Major in the British Army.

David is a long standing member of the world famous police pipe band in Edinburgh and again, provides the very best quality in musicality and dress.
